Indiana Lions for the ISBVI State Project
November 6, 2010

CROWN POINT, INDIANA

The District 25A Trustees for the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired held a golf outing on August 20, 2010 to raise funds for the purchasing of netbook computers for the school. Sponsors provided door prizes for the golf outing. Collections started in early June and continued through August and resulted in donations of $4000.00 in funds to facilitate the event as well as 88 door prizes, enough to provide each golfer a door prize.

The golfers were treated to a hot dog and bratwurst lunch (the brats, hot dogs, buns, and chips were donated). Each golfer was allowed 4 beers, and unlimited soda and water. At the end of the outing the prizes were handed out while everyone enjoyed a sit-down dinner of chicken and ribs. The event raised a total of $6000.99, after expenses. All proceeds were donated to the Indiana Lions for the ISBVI State Project and used to purchase 10 netbook computers for the ISBVI.

Lions and associates may RSVP for the event by contacting Lion Dave Bates at dbates@comteck.com.
